How to reach Bird Paradise
- By Car: Bird Paradise is about 12 kilometers away from Singapore's city center. Upper Thomson Road can get you to this attraction in around 20 minutes. From anywhere in the city, you can easily hail a cab that will take you straight to Bird Paradise.
- By Train/Bus: Using Singapore's local transit system is an even more economical choice. The first option is to travel by train to places like Ang Mo Kio, Choa Chu Kang, and Khatib. You will need to board a last bus to get to the Mandai Wildlife Group after arriving at any of these locations. You can take a Mandai Shuttle if you get off at Khatib station; bus 927 goes to Choa Chu Kang, while bus 138 goes to Ang Mo Kio.

Tips to visit Bird Paradise
- To have a good time at the reserve, wear light clothing and comfortable shoes.
- Keep enough water bottles with you so that you can stay hydrated all day.
- By throwing trash in the dustbins, you may maintain a clean atmosphere and your immediate surroundings.
- Respect the animals by not chasing after them, grabbing them violently, or hurling anything at them.
- Do not enter any restricted areas or cross boundaries; instead, abide by the reserve's rules.
- When shooting photos, turn off your flash because it could frighten or possibly blind the animals.
- When the caretakers are not there, be sure not to feed the animals anything.
- Given the size of the reserve and the potential for them to become lost, keep a careful eye on your kids.
