Jim Thompson House

The Jim Thompson House is one of Bangkok’s most fascinating cultural landmarks, blending traditional Thai architecture with a mysterious history. Once the residence of Jim Thompson, an American entrepreneur who revitalised the Thai silk industry in the 1950s and 60s, the house now stands as a museum. Set amidst lush gardens, it consists of six traditional teakwood houses brought from different parts of Thailand. Visitors will have a guided tour of the property to learn more about the life of Thompson and the skill that goes into building Thai wooden houses.
