The best time to visit Sigiriya is early morning between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM, when the air is cool and the crowds are light. You’ll enjoy softer light for photography and a more comfortable climb. Late afternoon (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM) is also great if you want magical sunset shots from the top. Avoid midday; the rock gets scorching and can make the climb exhausting.
