How to reach Matterhorn
- By Car: Zermatt is strictly car-free. You must drive to the nearby village of Täsch, leave your vehicle in one of the large parking garages (such as the Matterhorn Terminal Täsch), and board the shuttle train for the final 12-minute journey into Zermatt.
- By Train: The most seamless way to reach the mountain is via the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. Direct trains run regularly from Brig and Visp, connecting Zermatt to the wider Swiss rail network and major airports like Zurich and Geneva.
