By Train
Ha Long Bay doesn’t have a direct train connection, but travelers can take a train from Hanoi to Hai Phong and then transfer to Ha Long by road. The train ride from Hanoi to Hai Phong takes about 2.5 hours, and from there, it’s a 1.5-hour bus or car ride to Ha Long Bay.
