Public transports like trams, buses, ferries are easily available. You need to take the train if you are travelling to different cities.
The legal tender used throughout the Netherlands is Euro. You can get your currency exchanged from the airport or at GWK Travelex or Pott Exchange in Amsterdam. Also, there are ATM machines that let the travellers get good rates for the conversion.
The weather here is not too hot so you can carry clothes made from any fabric that you wish to. Do carry thick clothes if you are visiting during the winter.
