Christchurch
Christchurch is a city with colour and world-class attractions, including Orana Park, the International Antarctic Centre, andWillowbank Wildlife Park. Christchurch city is famous worldwide as the "Garden City" because of the wide range of spectacular gardens. It is by far the largest city in New Zealand and is home to the busiest airport in the country. Christchurch also houses a number of superb cafes, bars, and restaurants. Many famous sites such as Kaikoura, Sumner, Akaroa, and the Banks Peninsula, Lyttelton, Mt Hutt, and South Canterbury are less than two hours drive from here.
By Air
Christchurch International Airport is the city’s major airport. It is New Zealand's first and the second busiest airport after Auckland. All the major cities are well- connected by the means of road and trains.
By Train
Christchurch Railway Station serves as the main railway station and is the only passenger railway station in the city.
By Road
Christchurch is connected to other neighbouring cities with the well-knitted roads. There is a daily passenger bus service which connects the city and Dunedin and other cities. There are also various tour operators offering a network of buses plying around major tourist destinations in Christchurch.
